Spidey stops two armored car thieves, teaching his class the next day. At the Daily Bugle, May informs Jonah Jameson she is canceling her subscription because of his editorial policy towards Spider-Man. Peter walks Jennifer Hardesty home from school. She tells him her brother is getting out of the hospital. One of Shade's thugs watches them. MJ calls May from Los Angeles. By May's tone, MJ suspects she knows Peter is Spider-Man. Peter and Jennifer arrive at the condemned building in which she lives. Jennifer's friend Susie tells Peter that several kids have gone missing. Jennifer asks for his help. Later, Spidey investigates and discovers a man attempting to kidnap a boy. Spidey prevents the kidnapping, but the man turns intangible at will and escapes in a mystic maelstrom. Later, May tells Peter that MJ wants to see him the next time she's in Manhattan. Peter would like to see her too.
