Peter gets ready to fight against Morlun, for the last time. He thinks, that if this isn`t the last time for Morlun, it will be the last time for him.

Peter is waiting for Morlun in a lab full of radioactive materials. He injects some radioactive fluid into his bloodstream. Morlun enters the lab, and starts to fight against Peter, who is in his Spider-man costume. Morlun absorbs some of Peters strenght, but it hurts him. Thanks to Peters suppositions.

Peter/Spider-man starts to fight against Morlun. Morlun cannot fight back, due radiation will hurt him. Spidey keeps beating. And Morlun is beaten down. Morlun begs for Spidey not to kill him.

Spidey stands there, and wonders if he should kill him. After all, Morlun will kill many others in the future. Spider-man just stands there, and doesn't know what to do.

Then, Dex, Morlun's associate, who hasn't been seen in a while, shoots Morlun. And Morlun initially dies.

When the Police arrives and they have gone, Spidey tells Dex if he comes back to New York again, he will punish him.

Spidey goes to Ezekiel's skyscraper. He feels sad, for Ezekiel's death. He discovers Ezekiel is not dead.

Spidey returns home, undresses his costume, and goes to sleep pretty guickly. Then Aunt May opens the door and goes inside. Finally she sees the shreaded Spider-man costume, and a beat-up Peter sleeping in bed. And she is, simply said, shocked.

A piece of text of an article in ComicBookGalaxy.com:

If J. Michael Straczynski and John Romita Jr. shocked you before... well, this is the real deal! JMS SPEAKS:

"You may think you've seen the greatest confrontations in Peter Parker's life. You're wrong. Since his debut in AMAZING FANTASY #15, nearly four decades ago, Peter Parker has been running from the one, singular confrontation that will change his life. The one he has feared, and dreaded, since he assumed the role of Spider-Man. He has now run out of room to run. This is a confrontation 40 years in the making. No hype. No bombast... but no clues. We can't even give you any names, because that would ruin the surprise. But starting with issue #35, and climaxing in issue #37, the biggest question asked by fans for decades will finally become a reality. This is the Big One. The one that will have you talking for the next year. Honest."

I can't say enough good things about this book. J. Michael Straczynski has come along and turned the Spider Saga on its ear. With John Romita Jr.'s pencils backing it up, this book is hot!"
