The Korvac Saga: Part 2 of 10 – “First Blood” Guest-starring the Guardians of the Galaxy.
The Avengers along with Charlie-27, Martinex, Nikki, Starhawk, and Yondu return to their Fifth Avenue mansion to begin the search for Korvac. But inside the mansion a new foe is waiting…Mr. Peter Gyrich! The federal government’s special agent reads the riot act to Iron Man for the lax security at Avengers headquarters! After Gyrich exits, the star-spangled avenger gives Shell-head a piece of his mind too, until the Scarlet Witch intervenes to cool down the situation. Meanwhile, Starhawk travels to Queens and engages Michael (aka Korvac) in a life-and-death battle of cosmic proportions! And also in this issue, Hawkeye and the Two-Gun Kid are enjoying a train ride in Colorado, when suddenly the Two-Gun Kid disappears! Cameo appearances by Vance Astro, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, the Silver Surfer, Peter Parker, and Mary Jane Watson.
Avengers Mansion has been infiltrated! Who could possibly do what no villain could accomplish? And the Guardians have finally tracked down Korvac!
