Nebulon is up to his old tricks when he transports Strange, Red Guardian, and Power Man to his dimension of terrors! Jack Norriss and Kyle Richmond align themselves to save their teammates from a fate worse than death. The return of Nighthawk.

Dr. Strange, Luke Cage, and Red Guardian wake up in a pocket dimension being berated by Nebulon. Strange tries to magically return them to home, but his spells won’t work. They take shelter in a cave and are attacked by a monster.

Jack Norriss finds Kyle Richmond in the hospital; he had been knocked out by Nebulon’s goons too, but they didn’t need him.

Valkyrie is still at the women’s prison, and is once again harassed by a fellow prisoner. Val dumps some food on her head and is taken away by the guards.

Strange, Red Guardian, and Cage beat the monster, but then thousands of tiny insect-like creatures start climbing on them.

Nighthawk flies to Nebulon’s Cosmic Mind Control headquarters and fights off his Bozo clown flunkies. He finds Nebulon in his human guise, who guides him to the Defenders, right inside a door. However, the door closes and Kyle is now trapped in the pocket dimension too.

Luckily Strange is able to magically retrace Kyle’s entrance, and they break back into Nebulon’s Earth headquarters. The monster from the cave comes along too, and they get in a giant melee with the Bozos, the Eel, and Porcupine.

Oddly, in the American west, two people (Stu and Sally) are going down the Grand Canyon when they find an Indian in 1800s clothing. His head pops off with a spring, and an elf pops out–and elf with a gun! He shoots the two people.

Dr. Strange continues to have trouble with his magic during the fight with Nebulon’s goons, but finally makes it work and defeats the cave monster. They win the fight, but Nebulon is not caught.
