In the heat of battle against the Secret Empire, Lynn Church pulls an ace out of her sleeve. Will this issue mark the end of Midnight? Spidey and his fellow heroes certainly hope so!
In the finale battle, Lynn reveals that she was simply using Midnight as a guinea pig for her own upgrades, much to Midnight's dismay. The Seekers soon arrive to add even more heat to the fire. Towards the end, only Spider-Man and the two cyborgs remain, with Thunderball watching from the sidelines. They get the better of Spider-Man, but Lynn reveals that she has a pain-inducer for Midnight, and uses it against him. She is stopped by Thunderball, but Midnight lashes out, destroying the support columns for the warehouse. The heroes recover just in time to escape, though Lynn and Midnight are crushed by the rubble.
